How to Apply

Write a letter of motivation of up to one page in length (in PDF, plain text or MSWord format) for how your current studies would benefit from your attendance at ETD2011.

Clearly specify your name, institution, department, current degree, research topic and research supervisor(s).  Indicate also if you are presenting a paper or poster at the conference.

Send this letter, along with a letter/email of support from your research supervisor, to hussein@cs.uct.ac.za.  These may be emailed separately.

The deadline for applications is 20 July 2011.

Eligibility

All students currently enrolled at South African universities are eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to students doing research in areas related to Electronic Theses and Dissertations, Digital Libraries and Scholarly Communication.

Conditions of Grants

Funding may be provided in full or partially for conference fees, travel and/or accommodation.

All recipients will be expected to fully participate in all sessions of the conference and attend the tutorial.

All recipients will be expected to submit a 1-page report on the benefits of participation by 30 September 2011.
